'Old Soul'
Lillian Rose, Born 1928
Justified Defiance at Smoke Out West 10
Where did the name 'Lillian Rose' come from?  Lillian is my (Steve) beloved Mom.  Rose is my dearly departed
Grandmother (Lillians Mom).  Both wonderful caring women.  Rose was an immigrant from Europe during WWII.
Much of her family was murdered by Nazi's during the German occupation of Europe.   Rose and her children escaped
near death and made
the journey to the United States where they became proud legal citizens of our great country.
Rose was a
proud patriotic American Citizen!   Roses son Jack (Steve's Uncle) joined the United States Army and
landed on Omaha Beach during the invasion of Normandy.
Roses other son Joe was a brilliant educated man who
joined the United States Army as a deep undercover operative for the U.S. Government during WWII.  During the war
effort, Lillian worked in a bomb making factory as her contribution.  Rose raised and cared for her family.  Rose never
drove a car her entire life.  Both Jack and Joe survived the war and returned home to raise wonderful families in
Southern California.

Lillian married a man named Richard Weinstock (my Pop) who ran with street gangs in Chicago with his brother
John.  Richard joined the U.S. Navy towards the end of WWII and boxed aboard ship for his Captain.  John joined the
U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger
during the Korean War conflict.  After the war, Richard and Lillian raised their
family in the San Fernando Valley, California.  Uncle John was by nature a true biker!  He is currently 80 years old
and has only driven a car one month out of his whole life.  He has always been a Monk on a motorcycle!  I am sure
that is where my love for
old iron and motorcycles came from.

Lillian and Rose along with the rest of the family were always patriotic and proud God loving Americans.  Both ladies
of the finest character and so graciously poised!
